Of the seven children that Johann Sebastian Bach had with his first wife Maria Barbara Bach, two of them had musical careers of their own: Wilhelm Friedemann and Carl Philipp Emanuel. Of the 13 children from his second marriage with Anna Magdalena Wilcken, only Johann Christoph Friedrich and Johann Christian became significant composers.
