REVIEW: Summermusik captures Irish spirit in season finale

When Eckart Preu was planning his “Soul of Ireland” program for the Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra, he said he didn’t want to descend into stereotypes.

“It’s actually such diverse music. You have more than just ‘Riverdance,’” the music director said in a conversation with the Courier before the season. “We wanted to make it an Irish program that tries to highlight all the different aspects of the culture.”
