The 7 Deadly Sins of Cincinnati with Greg Hand
Good old conservative Cincinnati has a very colorful past, with a surprisingly curious history of corruption, vice, and outright naughtiness. Join local historian and sin expert Greg Hand for a tour of the Queen City’s debauched yesteryears, as revealed through the commission of the 7 Deadly Sins: Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Wrath, Envy, Pride and, of course, Lust – ‘Sin’cinnati excelled at each and every one.

Greg Hand, proprietor of the “Cincinnati Curiosities” blog, retired from the University of Cincinnati as director of public relations. Before his employment by the university, Hand was editor of the Western Hills Press in suburban Cincinnati. In addition to his blog, Hand contributes regularly to Cincinnati Magazine. He has published two recent books, “Cincinnati Curiosities” (2022) and “Tarbellpalooza!” (2025) and is working on a history of Vine Street.
